Simultaneous interpretation is profoundly human work. It requires cultural awareness, sensitivity to tone, context and intent — as well as the ability to make decisions in a fraction of a second.

What to consider when planning an event across languages
Does the proposal include interpreting equipment?
It depends on your event’s needs. The proposal can cover interpreters only or the complete interpreting setup: booths, electronic equipment, audience receivers, technicians and staff to distribute and collect the receivers.
The event’s sound system — including microphones, speakers and a mixing console — is usually provided by the venue. These arrangements are confirmed during planning, so it is clear what is included and what needs to be arranged separately.
Are simultaneous translation and simultaneous interpretation the same service?
In everyday usage, both expressions usually describe the same service: speech is interpreted in real time without interrupting the event. Within the profession, simultaneous interpretation is the more precise term.
Does an event require one interpreter or a team?
This mainly depends on the event’s duration, format, subject matter and languages.
What information is needed for a proposal?
Date, duration, location or online platform, languages, subject, expected audience and any equipment requirements. These details make it possible to define the right setup without adding unnecessary services.
